Anyone keen?
Thinking Wakefield or Marulan (EC is too expensive), date highly flexible, but I'd prefer the second half of Feb.
I expect that we would just turn up to an open practice day, rather than booking the circuit for ourselves (we won't have the numbers to pay for that at Wakefield, but it might be possible for Marulan).
No you don't need a fast car or mad skillz. Last one I did was in a stock 244, and it was a lot of fun.
Any interest?

I am keen and the late Feb timing suits me well.

i'd like to have a crack at something like this,
what is required ?
Spac
Helmet and cash, basically.
The rules may have changed, but based on my (dated) experience, it's a matter of turning up with a car that doesn't drop oil, paying your money, listening to a briefing, and going out for a drive.

I'm keen

I'd be keen for Marulan, however I wouldn't be able to afford it until around May. It'll probably still be unbearably hot at the end of this month, too.

Looking at the calender we are into early March for weekend type bookings.

I think I'd be up for that.

I'm in
I might even drive a volvo

I was thinking weekday, largely for the relative simplicity of getting a day. Weekend open practice days were very rare last time I looked - I assume this is still the case.

Maybe a Friday?
Dauntless
I wouldn't be able to do a weekday, I work Monday to Friday.

I feel your pain... having a job is so inconvenient.
Spac
I've got a job too. Because I don't work in a gulag or in the 18th century, I have both holiday leave and time in lieu.
I also have personal (sick) leave, if I really needed a way to take a day off.
If you blokes don't have any of these things, then perhaps it is time to unionise, or perhaps hope that we have a civil war, where slavery is outlawed?

:)
For sure . Still an inconvenience but, would be much easier to fit in all of the stuff I want to do if i didn't have one.

Oh yes. I always want to punch those people who go to work to keep themselves amused: "oh yes, I just won $32,000,000 on lotto, but I'm going to work tomorrow because I'm a fucking moron who has so little imagination that I can't keep myself occupied even now that I have more money than I know what to do with"...
Or as the comedian Richard Stubbs once said:
"The money won't change me"
Then give it to me! that much money will change me!

I see this going off topic, but I'm going to reply anyway. I can work up time in lieu, but it's the boss' decision when I can take it. I can take annual leave, but there's no way it'd get approved on such short notice.
If I won lots of money, I'd still work part time. I'd prefer to spend the money on fun stuff and use the income from working to pay bills etc. I'd also be worried about having no job history for a long time if I went broke, and it'd help keep my mind sharp.

Weekday is fine for me as long as I have like 2 weeks notice
egads (she/her)
I can swing Fridays mostly.
CamZH
I'm pretty busy with work for the next few weeks. But 2 weeks notice should be ok
