Can any one tell Me where this vacuum line should go? thanks Volvo 242 b23e
It should go to the valve under the monaifold for the air con, it will be cut into the hose from the bottom side of the air slide valve to throttle then also have a small vacuum hose to it.
thanks alot pauljoz and deger looks like some has removed that pipe and blocked it.
Yep carbon canister. This one will go to the larger piece on the canister. It looks like a little mushroom with a rubber fitting. The other smaller pipe then goes to the tank and pulls through fumes when the engine is running.
awesome cheers wheres the canister located? im just starting to figure out what the last owner has deleted.
If it isnt there then it should be on the lower right hand side of the radiator in a what looks like a big hose clamp.

Will look like this but wont be this in this location. That location is TB spec hahaha.
Thanks alot volvodriverman and black dynamite ill let you know how i go in the next couple days.
Stowers you have pm

Thanks a lot terry for the pictures. what year is yours? I'm thinking 1981 and later seem to be a bit different to 1980 model. even my heater motor and wiring is different to later models. mine had the transistor built into it.

I've got one line going from the canister to the tank. second hose goes to a T piece near the dizzy and a third hose going to the rear of the manifold.

I'm thinking 1980 and earlier doesn't have the a/c T piece and 1981 and later has???? could be wrong tho?
Mine a 12/80 so should be the same.
ok awesome thanks ill copy your setup. if your a/c actuator is connected to the top nipple what is your fire trap hose fitted to?

also what nipple is your dizzy vacuum connected to? any of these your setup?
