I finally hit the skid pan! 9am-5pm at sydney motorsport park, I think I got about 25 x 4 minute sessions in. Very fun and very educational. Weight transfer initiations, when done right, are so rewarding.
My catback unbolted itself from the extractors over the course of the day, as a result I have the worlds biggest exhaust leak and it runs pretty poor at low rpms.
With just the H cam, the car has more than enough power to dry drift (clutch kicks help) - at the start of the day, only half the pan was wet; it had no issues sliding the dry sections. I was planning to add more power to the motor (headwork, ecu work and bigger cam) but I'd like to get a lot more seat time with this setup to advance my driving skills.
Plans are to slowly update my bushings, throw in the DVS lower chassis braces I have lying around, and potentially purchase and install Kaplhenke's quick steer roll correction - the steering wheel completes a lot of rotations from lock to lock, and I feel that it may not be ideal in faster dry drifting scenarios to have the stock ratio.
