What are you thinking about the rear? There could be a way to do it underneath... I need to look under there , I could fabricate something if I had access to a lift for a while. Otherwise in spare wheel well. I would have thought the floor is well built around that area in front of the mounts and the rear seats on the wagon are bloody strong and heavy and slot in very tight , enough to form a brace as well.

Ash , will the Focus callipers fit on the 302mm discs and carrier bracket too? Thinking I may be able to run 16" ERS if that fits under them ok? For more comfort an cheaper tyres. Is the caliper that much better than the volvo one?

The advantage in the upgrade comes really comes from two things -
1/ increased leverage = better braking (larger dia rotor)
2/ more pad surface area
The caliper is quite big so I would doubt you would get them under a 16" wheel.
Not sure if they'd work with the 302mm rotor but the 302mm caliper bracket definitely wont be suit the caliper.

Might be onto a RR door too. Mine has a couple of dings I was going to panel beat, but a swapover in the right colour is preferable as the paint will match closer, etc
Ordered the rear rotors for it and might try out some Project Mu pads.

Hey i think i did summat wrong installing those rear pads you got me , either that or its the cheapo drilled /slotted rotors i am gonna take off again , i get the pads making a clicking noise like we used to put cardboard on the spokes of our bicycles with clothes pegs! The sound is there even when no brake application but more pronounced when is . I think the rotors are rubbish , got em off some Tassie guy....Cheap.

What about an XC front bar? They can look mean with full coluor covering and a little eBay WRX splitter under them ALA Lookforjoe on VS/TB and his mega horespower XC/R . There is one in Thomastown i was looking at was being wrecked , can find the number , it was a while ago... Maybe i could get one and you can do a deal on my upcoming V70R bumper.Its Pearl red .

Project Mu are becoming more and more popular and make some great motorsports pads. I'm waiting for my product listing to confirm they offer pads to suit.
If so, it'll be good opportunity to try them out.
I dont really like the XC front bar. I've seen that car on VS, he's done some neat stuff to it and theres some cool ingenuity going on. Visually though, not really my bag.

Debating whether to grab the V70R rear bar that Berrys have in silver, but I dont really like the twin outlets either - kinda seems silly with the way the engine is mounted and the path of the pipe to the back of the car. I've never really understood why it was the cool thing to do. I dont go for chrome or stainless exhaust tips either, so its just a personal preference thing.

Will do , i will see if i want the swap or not , i dont plan on using the R fogs , i have other projetors i want in there with HIDs or LEDs .
I dont like the rear twin outlet either , i would have a staino outlet though as i will fabricate my exhaust when i get the energy. i will have to borrow back my pipe stands i sold to a mate though or make a production rack to hold the parts for tacking and welding , TIG purged of course and in 304 , ist not the 309 tht most exhaust is done in but it matters not in the scheme of things.

Im paying $100 for one, I think this is reasonable - I paid $80 for one back in 2009 from them but i also bought a car through them at the time.
so, a little more or a little less would be fine depending on its level of goodness or not-so-goodness.
Graeme and the crew have always been really good to me too.
