So last night wash the car for C&C, go to turn on the lights coming into the shed and NUFFIN, just an volt meter going downwards. Turn them off and have a gander and 1 smoked released wiring and relay. F..k F..k F..k not happy Jan.
Trace wires and I've got one BIG short, disconnect and rewire the low beam bypassing the lamp out shit. All good now have low beam.
Did C&C ,came home and well need to find where the issues are and fixem.
Headlight switch went off and on if I wiggled the switch so strip down and found this.........................
More F..k F..k, replace all the wires back as far as needed and repluged the switch and bingo lights even when wiggled. So far so good. Ok dash is out might as well fit the new dash and LED's, nope, Mumma bear has put the envelope with the warning light strip away safely, so it won't get lost or damaged. Last time I asked they were still looking for it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(Am I the only one who has this done to them????)
So tried the LED's and they don't work. Removed the plugs and wiring and found that in their wisdom, whoever fitted the dash at the dealership wasn't real smart (DOH) yep pos side to earth and neg to switch, still works but surely the BRAIN should have questioned why one wire was REAL tight and the other one lots of spare wire?????
Fitted the LEDS and wired them up and now having Lunch, I'll let you know if anymore dramas.
If I sell this car, one thing is IT WILL BE SORTED.
