Thanks bgpzfm142,
Started to do the dash this weekend, not my favorite type of work. Still have to pull out the clock and do that after I figure why it ticks but no movement, something simple I hope. I decided to go to the white faces as yellow is too hard for my old eyes to see comfortably, probably doesn't help that the glass in the gauges is filthy inside. Speedo is away being repaired and they will fit the new face to it
Have now done the heater hoses inside and out, replace the B23 return heater line and modified a 230 one to fit.
Just need to organise the freight for the bracket for the A/C and P/S from John and then I can put it all back together.
Going with a rotary compressor as they don't rob as much power as the old piston type.
Had a coolant useage coming back from Sydney and it had me stumped until I removed the return pipe, a nice pin hole shooting straight upward onto the exhaust manifold.
Generally happy with the car the way it went on the drive, BUT the new toy has to be picked up and then I need to restore that again, did it 27 years ago and its been in a shed since.
Hopefully it won't take too much to return it to its former glory.
Once to Cooper S is done and the GT is right, then I'll decide what I'm going do regarding too many toys. I was in this position not that long ago and had a BIG clean out of toys as I don't need too many regos and insurance each year, & you can only drive one car at a time as mumma bear tells me.................
