i noticed the campsite has 106 spots but is on a first-come first-served basis, and the Motel suggested the first post has a minimum 2 night stay.
Is anyone else going to try their luck at the campsite?
I guess its not a public holiday weekend or school holiday period so it should be ok right?

We're going for the campsite looks nice just got to buy a 4x4 and a tent and rent a trailer but all should be good :)

I'll just sleep in the wagon, might bring a tent in case that's frowned upon by NPWS for some reason but pitching a tent for one night is kind of a pain, especially packing it away damp in the morning

NPWS definitely don't care what you use as a tent.

I had a look at the best western and for $108 (if you pay on booking) it seemed easier than sleeping in the Volvo at the campsite. Booked!
