What are your exact plans? I would recomend the T5 box for a turbo b230, no real need for the stronger box on a non turbo car. A bellhousing isn't too much, and the rest of the conversion is not too intensive.

Turbo/V8 drift pig of course, what else can I do with the car! Maybe a nice daily driver if that doesn't go to plan :p

All I know is that it needs to be a manual, and I've heard a lot about the inherent weaknesses of the volvo manual boxes, hence why my interest in a T5. I'd like to slowly upgrade the engine (forced induction) so having a T5 in the long run is definitely more desirable.

My wagon is a daily, no drift pig in sight actually, tow car, drag car. Plenty of options. But the idea of a drift pig is the current trend.

Yes a t5 is worth doing with a turbo swap, if you go v8, you would sell parts and Start again, I can organise a lot of the conversation parts, particularly if you're in Melbourne.

Possibly the insert for the bellhousing, and possibly the snout already cut down, but I can do that in exchange already.

The TR6060? On its own? None, I'm afraid.

Part of the problem with the TR6060 is that is has an integrated bellhousing. It's a bit like the T5 fitted to the BA Turbo, which had the bearing retainer in the bellhousing. The TR6060 problem is a bit more complicated, since the integrated bellhousing forms the front part of the gearbox.

And also it has two overdrives, kind of pointless on a b230 anyway!
