Lug nuts for Virgo Wheels

Anybody have a set of chrome lug nuts for virgo wheels on a 1989 240?

I like sticking to original Volvo items if I can. However I prefer these to the originals. Because the outer edge of these ones is rounded, with the square edge slightly recessed. (Genuine all-square ones quickly show damaged edges from being removed/replaced.)

They look fine James. You will see that mine have a shallower "neck" at the top of the nut.

Hmm, dunno... They might look a bit odd - with that extra space between the nut in the hole do you think?

I just bought a set in the link I posted above. I've only just seen Art's photo (thanks btw). But im not clear if Art bought those same actual ones in the link or not. Anyway, there's two reasons I chose those. They look similar to the original but nicer with the slightly rounded head (I think), but also they are the ones recommended by the USA guys because apparently they have a better quality chrome that doesn't peel off as easily as other ones do. If Art's are different, I won't be fitting them to the car just yet but if you want to wait I'll sit them in one of the wheels and take a photo when they get here? (Unless they are the same.)

Ok [sigh]. I wish sellers on ebay wouldn't manipulate photos. The nuts in that auction link, the photo has been squashed, making the rounded end look about half the height it actually is. They just arrived. And they are the same as in Art's photo. That rounded section is 5mm but in the auction photo it looks about half that. I can tell because comparing what arrived to the auction, I can now see the squished height. Not a huge problem but not what it seemed i was ordering so not hugely impressed either.

If you meant me, thanks, I've kept my originals for now, they're just scratched up and I wanted new in case I have the mags reconditioned. He sent the new ones without any protection so they rubbed against each other too. Anyone that reads this and orders a set in the future might like to ask him to separate each one with a bit of plastic or something.

Doesn't surprise me they are slightly cheaper. (There is so much stuff I knew I should have bought the moment Liberal were voted back in.)

Those are close - possibly the same - but two things:

1. The top rounded bit looks a bit taller than mine. It could be the photo, but I held mine up to the screen and moved it back/forth until it looked the same size - and the top of mine still look slightly shorter in the top section. Not that this matters, as it's inside the recess of Virgos anyway.

2. The quality of the chrome is unknown. As I think I said above, the USA guys claim the ones I ordered have a better quality chrome than some others. But they do look close. So maybe they are the same and it's a trick of the photo angle. It's difficult to see at night (I hate compact flouro lights!), but mine have "1/2RH/T" (1/2 inch Right-Hand thread?) - stamped on one face of each nut.

BTW... The extra length of the rounded top initially bothered me. But... I guess since since they are recessed into the Virgos, it doesn't matter much. i.e. The sides of the nuts are largely unseen anyway. So I guess the reason I bought them is still met. That is, the original Volvo Virgo nuts are completely square all the way out. Which means their outer edges quickly show it, if someone at a tyre place is lazy when locating their air impact wrench. These rounded type are more forgiving - any bad marks are hidden by the nuts being recessed.

All this probably seems ridiculous to others. But I don't like receiving something different to what appears in photos - especially after paying ~$3 each nut after postage.
