Vee_Que If its like vic. It was a club nominated person. If not, a roadworthy was needed. Now you can only use a rwc.

Major Ledfoot Cars have to be at least 30 years old. So the 780 isn't eligible until 2018, otherwise I'd bring her to the meet next weekend.
Dauntless Does anyone have any more information on this? How would I figure out if my current or planned mods for my vehicles will affect eligibility? This might also be a useful link for those who haven't seen it: http://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/roads/registration/get-nsw-registration/historic-vehicles/video.html
VolvoHordz Are you talking about the historic category or the modified category? The historic category is down to the individual club and so you'd be best to speak to them as to what they would or would not accept. There is generally a bit of wiggle room though. As far as I am aware no details more details have been released about the modified category and it is not yet in operation. I should get another update at the next volvo club of nsw meeting though. Im very interested in the modified scheme for both my 244 and 242.
Dauntless The modified scheme, I guess? I'm assuming that is the category I would need for my vehicles, but I don't really know how it works.
VolvoHordz Not much to do but sit back and wait at this stage. The modified scheme might still be a little ways off. The implementation of the logbook scheme was a complete clusterfuck and apparently at the time of Duncan Gays announcement they hadn't even started seriously looking into the details of the modified scheme.
Philia_Bear Dauntless;66122 wroteThe modified scheme, I guess? I'm assuming that is the category I would need for my vehicles, but I don't really know how it works. The red car would be fine under the normal category
egads (she/her) Red car is all period style mods or fixes in the safest way with modern components if memory serves so would be normal scheme.
Dauntless Hilux has LED lights, 244 will have EFI, that's mainly what I'm concerned about. I agree I'll need to find someone to ask, no idea who that would be.
Vee_Que Headlights, that's not exactly major, no different to halgon upgrade really. As long as they are Australian compliant. The efi... Well it currently is efi technically in the eyes of the law, only issue would be if you had a 86 on motor with no cat.
