Has anyone used this service? Would it work out alright with IPD if you spend over that $149 so get the free shipping to USA Address. Then your only paying the postage fee is AUD as well. Which I am sure will be high but not as bad as IPD's with the exchange rate.

I have and the shipping price is quite high. IPD price would be cheaper.
I used it for 2 pairs of shoes and that was about $40 in postage for each pair. Then 3 boxes of cards was about $90. Very similar to the Fedex/UPS rates. Service is good though and tracking service and emails etc work well, schmick service in general and has come in very handy for products which are geoblocked.

Ahhh so the shipping is really that harsh? I thought it might balance out now because the dollar is so terrible.

Im sure shop mate would be cheaper then $160 for shipping for a Cam, dizzy cap and rotor and 2 engine mounts.

Whoah! Something in their cart system must've gone bad to quote that. Email them and they should offer something much less crazy.
It isn't a crazy markup or anything, just the normal courier prices. Should go down given time as they build volume.

Emailed them. see what they come up with. Their price is around $100, but including exchange rate i will end up paying around that.

https://www.myus.com/ is pretty good - I've not used it myself, but a friend has an account with them and uses it pretty much every month. They will also hold multiple items for you and package into a single box after a given point in time

Bongo do that for you also. I've used them quite a lot. Similar service by the look of it. Bongo have drop points in Europe too, which is nice.

The main advantage of ShopMate is that they will re-pack your stuff to make it more space efficient. IPD/FCP/The rest of the US seem to use these bizarre standard size boxes. I.e. FCP sent me an ENVELOPE in a friggin box!
