Update.
It started in an attempt to replace the vacuum hoses throughout the engine bay. I found the silicone type hose on the outlet side of the turbocharger had a hole burned in the side of it, I also had the slightly ugly pipework on the inlet to the throttle from my NA TB conversion that I wanted to clean up a little.
I decided to buy some silicone hoses to replace all of the rubber stuff. I had heard mixed reviews about reverse intercooler plumbing, some saying it was worthwhile, others saying it was a waste of time. I decided to do it anyway, if nothing else it has allowed slightly larger pipes, less bends, less hoses and it looks much better.
I am not sure if it has made any difference or the improvements i have noticed are more related to the fact that it now has split free pipework. Either way I am happy with the way it goes and am loving the way it looks.
BTW, I temporarily wrapped the spark plug cover to see how it looks, a proper CF one is on its way but may take a little while and this one looks good in the mean time. I have a little more engine bay detailing to do but I reckon it is looking good.
