I've now put 5k of driving onto the setup including a trip to melbourne and back

1. I've got used to it
2. my body is now jelly
3. its setteled in a bit

ride is still stupid over major bumps but otherwise is pretty resonable and the seat just makes up the difference

Today
The dam sunroof drain on the passengers side clogged up... spent 30min in the rain today fixing it and it appears to flow nicely again
Then spent about 2 hours drying the foot well out

Waiting for wheels to show, (expected in june) and then need to organize some 003's for it
Then it needs to go for a track day... I'd like to see just how fast it will run around a circuit like marulan which caters to all of its strengths

Get a household moisture trap and keep that in the car, that'll get the last bits of wet sorted out.

Moisture traps don't do much really, not for immediate dry as is needed. A dehumidifier is the best bet.

This is a great read Philia Bear! I was super interested in your write up about the Bilsteins as I've been trying to work out what to do with the suspension on my AWD. It's a shame there aren't more options but I had been thinking of going the KW V2 route myself but I don't actually know of anyone running them. I have come across a review on Swedespeed of the K1's which sounded mostly positive but I'll dig in on the Bilstein's now too. I look forward to your further installments!

Also i added the volvo factory bluetooth kit to the car

Ive done some normal maitenance items to the car and also the cabin air filter

And the lower engine mount got replaced with a ford efocus mount

Do88 intercooler, an intake and a serious exhaust are next

After all the above im going to find a tune for it

Ah dude that sucks. You end up going ahead with the fifteen52's? I love them so bloody much, wish I could get some for mine.

Also do you have a link to the efocus mount? Mines going to need replacing soon and I want to upgrade.

I run a Hilton tune atm on my s40. Running their stage 1 and then I just pay the difference to upgrade through to a stage 2.
They also have an option to run anti-lag for fast launches and early turbo failure ?

Omfg the grip... just wow... I need a track day to test it's limits now
Previous tyres were some high quality Pirellis with a 460 tread wear rating... amazing the grip difference between 460 tread wear and 200

Also... having a had look at the old tyres... The rear alignment is perfect, the front has inner edge wear and needs the toe adjusted
It's going to go in for a 4wheel alignment on Monday at a place that has a hunter photo machine
Aiming for 0 toe front and rear, still thinking about caster and camber

That actually looks pretty good. I know everyone seems to be doing it these days but a guy at work has had his rims on his white xr5 painted gloss black and gone got red walls. Didn't think much of the red walls at first but now every day I see it the red walls actually work quite well with that rim in black.

I know xr5 rims should fit P1 Volvo cars but does that also apply to the rs rims? The only difference I can see between them and the xr5 wheels I can see is a larger offset of 60mm. Would that be a problem? Rs rims would look mint on a S40 I reckon.

Genuine LV Focus RS wheels will not fit, due to offset, however they wont fit XR5 and lower spec models either.
As such there are a few really good LV Focus RS copy wheels around in offsets that will work on LS-LV Focus and P1 Volvo models.

What about mk3 (LZ) wheels off the latest RS? Just having a look the 19”x8” are 5x108 have a bore of 63.4 and appear to have a 50mm offset instead of the 60mm from the earlier LV and on the Ford performance website they are listed as compatible with the lower grade models from 2012 to 2018

Centrebore hasnt changed between LS-LV (Mk3) and LW-LZ (Mk3) and 50mm offset would be great too, so no problem at all in fitting those.
Just gotta find a set at the right price.

For reference too -
LW-LZ ST wheels are 18x8" and ET55.
LS-LV XR5 wheels are 18x8" and ET52.5.
