Someone previously replaced the tcv and cut the hose from the compressor housing
Replacing that hose without pulling the drive shaft is nay impossible
So I ended up using a joiner and extending the hose

The tcv is behind the turbo between it and the firewall just above the drive axle
It's a utter pita compared to a p80
Oil changed
Trans fluid changed
Cleaned the maf
Ran the etm calibration

New maf is only $150 aus so I might try that route as well
Also checked in Vida And the software appears pretty old so thinking total can bus reload would not be a bad idea on it
Need to loan it to jonbot for a week and let him do secret things to it at work

One thing I did notice was the clutch always reads between 11-89%
Need to check back with the motherland about what normal values should be
Tomorrow morning is
angle gear oil
Haldex oil and filter
Then rear diff oil

Also noticed both front struts are blown
So need to order some stockers or think about the kw kit sooner then later

Kinda sounds like the Focus XR5 by the sound of it. Yuk.
The main thing is that it's done.

Lazy this morning

Driving back last night... really feels like the ETM is toast...
Might just order a spare as they are cheap from UK/USA second hand

Other thought is that it could be the gas pedal... need to watch it in vida and test
By the sounds of all these issues , on a highwaycar with only 170K , these things are lemons??
Not that old yet so much to go wrong that the average person getting it fixed at a dealer would just trade it in due to the cost. I thought these would be a good car...
They are reliable
This is just I is unlucky

Also remember I am still driving this thing to and from work daily despite the small issue so it's really not that bad

99% of everything done so far except for the fuel pressure sensor ($100 from Volvo) is just a proper stage 0 maintenance and some upgrades for making 350+ whp from it later

6 days later
Deal has been made with Mark in Vic

Got the following comming my way
Etm
Amm
Ecu
Turbo
Turbo dp

Going to see about turning the turbo into a hybrid with some sort of larger coldside

Also did some measurements of the stock dp and I should be able to make a 3.5" unit with a wide radius bend
Something that can't be done on a lhd car

Still working out what to do after the dp
I'd like to do a full 3" but requires some thought about it or dual 2.5"

5 days later
Cleaned up the etm I got sent to make it look new
Put it on with the new amm

Calibrated the etm in Vida

Now runs like the car was new
So much more power and no jittering
Woot

I'm thinking broadburger for lunch on sat just to give it a good run

Turbo is now apart
Quite impressed with the cold side
Has extended tips from the factory as well as an aggressive blade design
Still it's tiny though

I need to see about what bigger size housing might just bolt on that I could have a custom wheel made to go with

The stock dp Omfg it's so crap it's not even funny 3.5" will make all the difference in the world to it

Sooo Stock Turbo wheel
44.92 inducer, 56.08 exducer
I can get a billet 7+7 upgrade wheel in stock size with 59.40 tips

Alternatively... I can have the cold side housing machined out a little as well as the CHRA housing and get a further upgraded wheel of
47.56 inducer, 61.98 exducer, 66.29 tips

The second option puts me in a better place then even the stock K16 on a RS500 offers

Might just order both and see what can be done as I have spare everything now

3 months later
Many months on
Car is being dailied by a mate who's v70 bit the big one
He may yet buy it off me as he likes it so much

Everything just works and its fast like it should be

Just needs Bluetooth to be made into my daily driver as I spend the 45min to work every morning on the phone every day
2 months later
So the dam front shocks have died completely and are dead
Looking at replacements and stock stuff is dirt dirt cheap

I could go for Stock shocks and lowered springs for under $1k aus

Or... for $2900 I could go with KW version 2
I think i need to decide how long I'm going to keep this thing and how much I should invest into it
Koni FSD available? Suits your needs and should be something that would help resale.

Front yes
Rear no
Awd is very limiting on options
Either stock or very expensive
sucksqueezebangblow;70767 wroteCan I ask what the symptoms of a failing fuel pressure sensor are?
Runs like shit pretty much
Depending on how bad the sensor is it can be reporting any of a number of errors
Easiest to just replace it if suspected
cheers, once I flush the automatic I'll beer you up to reset my ATF counter and set adaption mode. I'm sure if you take it for a quick drive you can tell me which areas I should be saving/spending. I've just ordered the AC and Alternator belts because I'm not sure how old they are. I bought a second hand turbo from a 38k wreck. It came complete with the manifold and TCV. Manifold may end up HPC coated, just because I love the smell when its baking on, and the thing might cop a custom dump and exhaust to keep my mate happy, just depends on if it will have a dummy spit and throw codes. He has a right angle o2 sensor spacer with built in catalyst to try out.
@Philia_Bear do you have any pictures of what your ride looks like? I haven't seen many P1's around.
