0tt Well im not but now im interested, why did yall never get the 340s?
Primarily the cost of shipping plus import duties versus the actual value of the vehicle … with an expensive-spec car they could get close to justifying the cost of bringing it here, but a 340 was always going to be too exxy by the time it arrived. They were building 240’s here, so a 340 wasn’t going to be any cheaper.
360GLT had a bit more hope, but even more so then than now a car was judged on it’s size, and people didn’t want to pay large car money for a small 360. Ferrari came along a few years later also with a much more expensive 360, probably sold more of those here than Volvo did, I guess Volvo had gotten people used to the idea?
