140 Diff centre in P1800E Diff

Can I install a 140 diff centre in a P1800E rear axle. I will get a diff shop to install for me.

If you have a Dana 30 later diff then change of the centre parts should be fine with a 140. not sure when the change happened from Dana27, but I believe E cars have them? The Dana 30 diff appears in a number of different cars, which is why we can still buy new parts for the centres reasonably easily. Volvo didn't make the diff centre.

Which version of the diff? The early one or the late one? If it is the late one with disc brakes, then yes.

It is a disk brake rear end so should be OK

Generally speaking - the drum brake rear ends are Dana 27.
The disc brake axles are Dana 30.
B20 cars came with disc brake rear axles; B20E and B20F cars certainly did.
