XC60 Starting Issue

I have a 2018 XC60 R Design D5. Went to start the vehicle and it wouldn't crank. All the electricals worked fine, went through the checks, gauges swept BUT it wont start. Towed to Volvo dealer and all the checks revealed no fault. The steering module which is the most common cause of this problem is testing OK. Dealer has emailed Volvo and so far no solutions coming forth.

Has anyone had a similar experience and able to enlighten me as to what may be the problem. Rang several dealers but no resolution. Its been 3 days and I'm getting desperate. Stuck in the country and need to continue our trip.

Given the rather basic symptoms, a respected auto electrician shop would be my first port of call.

The basic symptoms are that all the electrical side is working. Just not getting a signal to crank the engine. Battery new and all the electronic components seem to test OK. An Auto electrician would be lost in the complexity of the current Volvo's. Even Volvo seems to be lost for suggestions.

The problem turned out to be a flap seal in the fuel filler neck. It is supposed to shut after filling and seal the fuel tank so it can be pressurised. If this doesn't happen, then the vehicle wont start as it is a starting interlock. Several other makes also have this. It didn't send out a code so not easily found. After the filler neck was pulsed and the sudden air pulse moved the flap, the vehicle started. One for the memory banks.
