Just wanted to check to see if I have done this properly. I have just finished converting my electric fan back to the original fan as the electric fan was too small and caused it to overheat.
I had purchased a second hand fan clutch and fan blade for this. The old electric fan had wires connecting to a relay which had wires going to a ground and to the battery. there was also a wire going from the relay and was connected to one of the wires going into the windscreen wiper motor. Another wire going from the relay to a temperature sensor on the top hose. I had removed the electric fan, the relay, the ground, removed wires from the battery, cut the wire connected to the windscreen wiper motor and disconnected the wires to the top hose.
I have then directly bolted the fan clutch and the fan blade onto the pulley. I have put the shroud around it as well.
I have started it up and driven it for a little bit and everything seems to be working well with no overheating. Just wanted to make sure that I have done this conversion properly and if there is anything else that I need to do.
