jrhendo Hi, My 240 tach as 4 connection posts: one by itself and 3 in a clump numbered, I think, 30, 31 and 58. Can anybody tell me what connects to what? Thanks John
Major Ledfoot Circuit 30 is constant +12v from the battery. Circuit 31 is ground. Circuit 58 is headlight +12v power (or instrument lighting). I presume this is an 81+ 240 instrument cluster? Did this cluster used to have a clock in it instead of a tacho?
carnut222 Yes the separate terminal is for the coil signal. The other 3 terminals have nothing to do with the tacho - they simply provide power and light signal to the small external clock.
