need 240 parts

Hey, does anyone have a 240 rear left door? I’ve recently bought a 240 gl sedan and the left rear door is rusted out and needs replacing. I have a good condition front left door if anyone could do a trade. Also, if you have a top-end timing cover and sun visors, I'd be interested in that as well.

An oil gauge? with the sender, these are pretty rare.

I know for sure we have 1 but that's not forsale and going into one of our cars , there may be another somewhere and we are constantly picking up new Volvo's when we find them

DarylVolvo 3 bar are hard to get , I've had a few over the years the biggest problem was finding the 3 bar sender .
The last one I had with sender I sold for $100 , they are rare but not overly valuable unless it was immaculate or you're buying from Michael Furner 🤣

I had this installed on my 240. The sender unit is massive and when i got ASV in Sydney to change the (fan) drive belts they broke the sender off.

DarylVolvo oh that sux , so you have the gauge still ,you just need the sender ?

No sorry, i am thinking of selling the Gauge and sender, just the 45 angled elbow of the sender broke. I also have some a green coloured Fog light switch that i think came off a 140.

DarylVolvo ahhh I'm with you now , I usually sell the green fog light switches $20/30ea , the gauge with sender yeah maybe $100 maybe abit more.

Not sure how useful a 3 bar gauge would be…on my car it would be pegged 90% of the time. 5 bar gauge is much more appropriate to be honest.

I also ran 5 bar on mine and had the sender on the side of the block but managed to run it without the elbow. Not sure how - I remember it being a tight fit but it worked.
Wish I could recall the sender number 🤔

morch_66479 Yes you can do it without the 45-degree brass elbow depending on the alternator and alternator belt length you select. I'm doing this on both of my 240s at the moment. They're both late cars, so the alternator adjuster arrangement might be different on the earlier cars. It's really tight on the B230FT in my 91 wagon as the belts are just long enough to allow the alternator to clear the oil sender, but if they were any longer the terminal on the alternator would be hitting the wastegate actuator body.
