24Orient I have an 850R with an ABS fault. I have replaced the wheel sensor and checked wiring - 2.8volts at the sensor. The ABS module has a sticker suggesting that it has been rebuilt and the exciter ring on the hub looks in good condition. See photos. Any suggestions for a solution? Fault is intermittent but persistent. ABS light resets when ignition is switched off and on again after reaching 25kph Thanks Steve
24Orient Thanks. I am not sure that a fault would be obvious to me. I have ordered a new wheel bearing VA9500222 just to eliminate another possibility - magnetic quality of the exciter ring may be an issue.
ramrod It’s extremely common for the ABS module on 850 to require servicing If you’re up for it, remove the module and send it to me for investigation
24Orient It's my daily drive and I would not want to risk losing the module in the mail. I will look for an exchange service if new hub does not solve the issue. Thanks again for your offer.
24Orient I have sourced a remanufactured ABS module from USA - $330 shipping and GST included . I discovered that part nos 9162675 (my model) 9140744 (coming from USA) and 8602266 are compatible. So hopefully I will have all bases covered.
