940 Adjustable front coilovers w/ BNE hardware, Eibach Springs and Bilstein HD struts - $700 [SOLD]
In short, this is a bolt-in coilover for 940's (possibly 740's as well) so you can use 2.5" springs and have adjustable height.

This includes a pair of struts with:
Bilstein HD (B6) Struts (P/N F4-P36-0292-H000)
Eibach XT 350lb/in (~6KG/mm) springs
Volvo 940 strut housings (may be possible to use on 740s, don’t know)
BNE weld-on kit for adjustable collar for 2.5” springs
BNE LuxeSteer upper bearing and anodized seat
Hypercoil 2.5” helper springs (keeps main spring captive)
2.5” joiner to go between helper and main spring
Stock strut tops (used, fair condition)
Strut removal tool (see item #2, if not already sold separately, will include with these for free)
I upgraded to different suspension in my 940 earlier in the year and was going to hold onto these as a ‘just in case’, but won’t have the space to keep these. The Bilsteins are OK, but I’ve seen the strut have what appears to be a little bit of oil on it occasionally and don’t know their history before me, so consider their condition ‘unknown’. They were used for about 20K kms in my ownership and were great, if they weren’t lowered excessively (has a harsh bumpstop). Also have a set of softer springs below if you want a set of softer springs to try out with it too.

I used BNE strut tops with these but I’m still using them so will include some stuck strut tops that I previously used, though as per photos, one is showing signs of ageing with cracks. With the original spring mounts removed the top bearing sits in there perfectly it seems.

This was purchased for the purpose of removing and reinstalling the above struts when installing the collars, and it worked perfectly. Highly recommend. Don’t know if it’s compatible with any other Bilstein struts.

Suit 740/940 and potentially others.

As per the fronts, these were used until they were replaced and worked well while they were installed. Don’t know the overall age, was told they were nearly new when I got them, and I’ve done 20K kms on them approximately.
Please note that one of the rubber bushes appears to have gone missing, but one should be able to be transferred from another strut if replacing them.

These were on my 940 before the adjustable struts were, and they were a good match with the Bilstein struts when they were installed. They came installed on my 940 and I believe the previous owner chopped them one coil. Worked out that as they currently are, the rates were roughly 6KG/mm front, 4KG/mm rear.
- Eibach Platinum 2.5” 250lb/in (Front) and Eibach XT 5” 175lb/in (Rear) springs ($100 per pair or $150 for set) [SOLD]
These are 2.5” springs to suit the struts at the top of this post, as well as a pair of 5” springs that would suit the rear of a 940 with a 5” spring perch (not included).

Comfortable ride with these spring rates but I changed to the stiffer rates for personal preference. Purchased through BNE in 2021, seen less than 1000km on all.
- 1031 4.10 Crown and Pinion set - matched - $70 [SOLD]
Pulled this out of my 940 as I wanted a lower ratio to match my driveline a bit better. Was great for acceleration but swapped it out for 3.73s.


- 1031 Open centre differential (940, 48 tooth) - $50
This was used with the 4.10 crown + pinion used previously, worked fine and was quiet in operation during the 30k km or so that I had used it.

- 940 Bosch main fuel pump (under-car) - $40
I had my in-tank pump die last year and I ended up replacing the stock system of 2 pumps with a single, so this has been unused. Have just done a quick test to ensure it still works with 12V applied and it does.

- 740 or Early 940 Air Oil cooler - $50 [SOLD]
This mounts next to the narrower radiator type found in 740’s and early 940s. Doesn't come with the sandwich plate but should come with most brackets required for installation - please see photos for details.

- AW71 transmission cooler - $20 [SOLD]
Volvo P/N 1378342. Came out of a 91 940.

- Aisin Viscous fan clutch - $20
Always used an electric fan, so surplus to my needs.
