Hoping for some wisdom here before I go downing more money.
Car is a 2016 xc60 d5 engine
My egr valve is fluttering at times. Like a bad egr valve.
I’ve replaced the relating solenoid, housing and flow plate. Problem still there.
I’ve noticed I can induce the noise by a quick press of the brake pedal. if I disconnect the vac line to the egr solenoid problem gone, obviously as the valve isn’t operating anymore.
Vac tested direct from the vac pump and it’s oscillating like crazy. also takes about 10-20 seconds to get up to what would be normal negative pressure but not steady at all.
my thoughts are failing or leaking pump so I’m looking to replace this next.
Has anyone else had this issue or could shed some light here for me?
