Hey Folks,
Hope y'all are well and doing great 👍🏼
Just wanted to pick your brains as im having a few issues with th XC90 V8.
There is a strong fuel smell coming from the passenger side area, more specifically around the pcv / fuel pressure sensor. The car was starting very rough for about 2 weeks every morning, but that has seemed to disappear out of nowhere.
My second issue is understanding how the oil catch vaccum lines are situated - currently I don't believe I have them around the right way but the diagrams in VIDA imo are not super clear on this. I can hear a sucking sound when attaching the line to the breather next to the oil catch.

My biggest concern ATM is the excessive vacuum and fuel smell, I suspect the PCV on the passenger side has failed and is causing this. Is there any sure fire way to test this? It may just be a matter of taking it out and inspecting it I suppose. The oil cap is literally being pulled into the filler hole like there's a hoover on the other side.
Just a few side notes … I have done a lot of work replacing timing cover seals ect you name it and thought that the pcv was fine but now I'm wondering if I should have just replaced it. I've been busy with 3 kids and my wife has been launch controlling this thing around town for about 3 months since finishing up work ( She has a heavy foot lol ). I appreciate any pointers or help, and am truly grateful.
Cheers,
Lamar
