Snow isn't so much of a problem in OZ as leaves and other debris are.

Can be ordered with or without the grille on the intake.

Priced at between $127 & $133 AUD each depending on options, but shipping ex-USA is about the same.

Can these be fitted to a 2 series to help stop leaves etc dropping down between the gaps in front of the windscreen

242GT Wagonmeister already sells ones for 240s.

To be a nerd about it for a second, the Wagonmeister ones I think are fine for an 86+ 240, but for pre-86 models, the RHD snow cap is different from LHD due to the position of the wiper spindle.

Your correct James , there are 2 version , a one long piece and then 2 short pieces , but as stated lhd v rhd won't work here in Australia's rhd market , thanks for the idea though ledfoot.

Whoops! @Papahuge - before you place your order -

The 780's RH wiper post (it's LHD) is 28 inches from the right-hand edge of the panel.

OTOH, the 940's left hand wiper post (RHD) is 28 inches from the left-hand edge of the panel....

I'll contact VPrints and see if they're willing to do a RHD version.

So it would be for LHD... and it fits onto a RHD car okay. Good to know.

I raised the possible difference between LHD and RHD with VPrints, and was told the reproduction snow caps should fit on RHD cars without hassles. It would appear the wiper geometry for a 780 is different to LHD 740/940.

So I'm going to order one and see how it goes.

242GT Wagonmeister has a replica 240 one - see link below. People here have modified the genuine Volvo one to fit RHD cars - basically you have to cut out a spot at the back for the wiper pivot as it's in the wrong place on a LHD snow cap.

Major Ledfoot I found the Ipd invoice (from 2008, was it really that long ago??). The Volvo part number was 3529534 and the Ipd reference 8C9534.

A hunt around on Google gives no indication that there is any difference between RHD & LHD. I had no difficulty fitting it to my 940.
