MT850R Hi Guys, I’m looking at refreshing the timing belt and water pump. Do you guys usually get this sort of kit from FCP Euro? Also whilst doing the water pump are there any other jobs you think are worth doing at the same time? 242GT If you have no service records at all of maintenance for that side of the motor , replace anything and everything you can if your going to open up that end of the motor. Seals , Idler, tensioner , belts , water pump. At least that way you'll have a starting point for future services. While your there check the engine mounts .
ramrod Yes also replace the crankshaft pulley, crankshaft front seal, all idler pulleys, drive belt and tensioner, camshaft seals, and the idler pulley that mounts to the power steering pump bracket Do a thorough job, saves doing it all again in the future

MT850R Yeah. I was trying to pull together a list of all the parts you should prob replace while doing the timing belt. The second list was jobs whilst doing the PCV. The second list I just did my self so for sure I’m missing stuff as I’m just starting to build knowledge on my 1996 850R. I’m also trying to keep things genuine where possible.
