Volvo 850 ECC control panel replacement

Hey people,

Would anyone know where to find a blower motor resistor for volvo 850 with ecc NOT MCC. Every vendor i look at seems to have discontinued this part and only sells the resistor for mcc systems.

Not sure if I'll need one yet, still in the diagnosis stage but just in case would anyone be able to locate one?

I'm in wollongong nsw and would be happy to pay shipping

No clue but don't think it would have resistors if it has ECC. Would have some sort of PWM controller, adjustable continuously rather than in the usual stepped control (Resistors burn off the excess power for each speed setting)

You might have some luck taking yours apart and repairing it (replacing the burnt up mosfets with modern equiv, new thermal paste, checking other components for drift or damage)

They are NLA for RHD and best repaired by specialists electrical expert

So I've found out its not the blower motor or resistor thats the issue, its the actual ecc control panel itself. I can get one from America but my question is would it be easy to replace the Fahrenheit face plate with the Celsius one from my current unit? Otherwise would anyone happen to have a spare ecc control panel lying around?

Mr-Scooty the faceplate isn't hard to remove, you have to remove it when changing the backlight bulbs too. So probably you can just swap the Celsius and Fahrenheit ones.

Sounds good to me, ill go with that option then.
