Volvo V50 CEM questions

So I have a 2006 V50AWD, keyless entry model. It only has the one key, I have had it at the lock smiths to get a key replaced.
Well Volvo being Volvo the Key is NLA, we can use it to start the car, and the blade to unlock it but the remote part won't work and it's an issue with the cem.
My question is, If I have a 2007 CEM, immobilizer ring and keys from another V50, can I swap them over as I have 2 spare keys with these spare.

gavinh short answer is no you can't just swap them like a p80. All of the modules are coded/paired to the vin. There was an issue with the early cems losing their central locking function, but I thought it could be solved by a software update.

If you have a dice, then look at downloading VDASH. It gives you ability to modify the cem configuration and software fixes/bypass
