Hi all, looking for some information as to whether this Lightweight flywheel will fit and work for what i need it to do.

https://shop.klracing.se/sv/artiklar/stalsvanghjul-b20-b21-b23-b230-med-trigger-60-2.html

I am in the process of removing a B230FT From an AUTO 940T And putting it into my 81 MANUAL KJET wagon. Obviously i require a LH2.4 flywheel and instead of sourcing a second hand flywheel. it will be easier for myself to get a lightweight one as i will be wanting one in future anyways…

Any information will help significantly! Thanks all.

    The flywheel must be compatible with the clutch you wish to use.

    And the clutch must be compatible with the gearbox you use.

    Which gearbox are you planning to install?

      Look at getting it direct from TTV. They may also have the clutch you need.

      I ordered my flywheel from TTV on a Monday night about 10pm South Australian time from the UK and it was delivered to me Thursday lunchtime the same week.

      ramrod Planning to use a M47 for a bit, until later down the line when i want more power and can source the bits. then I will be going to the Ford T5 Trans.

      Not suitable- this is a serious race car system design, absolutely not for the street.
      Just look at the small clutch face about half the size of normal that suits the best heavy duty triple plate clutch in the world etc.
      As for the flywheel there is so little mass it would be undriveable on the street. Lets talk 4,500 min revs each time you release the clutch with near zero slip and 8,000rpm gear changes.

      Good to see a company making such a specialised race part to suit a Volvo bolt up with outer 60 pattern with 58 slots or holes.

      Depending on how motivated you are I recenlty merged a standard flywheel with a 2.4 flexplate and it was straif forward and went well. You will need to have the completed system balanced, and it works out a little lighter than a standard flywheel. By poping off the flywheel ring gear and then using the lh2.4 flex plate, all the indicator notches remain entirely factory. It was much cheaper than international options, if you don't count your time.

      @1971_144GL - Brilliant effort indeed.
      This needs a webpage writeup.

      Its only week 1 of 2025 and you already lead the innovation award in my book!!
