If the lowered springs are new then the alignment will be off anyway. Push them all the way to the middle of the car then have an alignment done. Multiple times lowered springs have been closest to teh camber/caster with the towers all the way in.
I replaced tie-rod ends once and drove it to the wheel aligner shop with what ever it was, it was rowdy to drive, not stable, not straight. Made it fine, they sorted it out.
With the front jacked up and stands under the body you should be able to just twist the strut top with your hands, or put your arm/hand up into the wheel well and grab the spring and/or strut and twist it from underneath. If it is a problem, try using the 24mm nut on the strut top with a breaker bar to twist it (have not done this, just thought of it). Obviously the three retaining nuts need to be loose.
