WTB: V50 (ideally manual)

I just test drive a V50 manual and I loved it. It wasn't even a T5, it was a 2 litre R-design british import. I currently drive a Holden Rodeo so the difference is night and day.

Unfortunately the bloke sold it some some one else. Anyone have any for sale?

Volvo has become a very not-manual brand ... they're pretty rare.

The one you drove was mentioned in another thread 'cos the guy had advertised it as a T5, and it was the "T5 manual" in the country on CarSales. You may need to keep an eye on club classifieds? Or find a Focus XR5 that's not been trashed (hatch but not much smaller than a V50).

Forg when you say club classifields are these specific volvo clubs or something else? ive joined volvo buy swap and sell facebook groups.

Yeah something a bit unicorny like that may not be advertised to normies outside the clubs. 🙂

There’s effectively an official Volvo Club in each state/territory (maybe not NT - dunno).

Ive got a T5 auto which is still pretty fun but ive been on the lookout for a manual one for years, the only one ive ever seen come up was on here about 6 months ago. best of luck!

There are a couple of manual non turbo v50s on Facebook marketplace in Sydney right now.

An ex-UK R-design may have inherited some of the features from the Sport spec, such as front strut brace and the lower ride height, just beware that those may not translate to an Australian spec one in the same way.
