[WTB] 850 Sedan/Wagon

Hey everyone,

I'm a 21 year old who appreciates the era of Swedish boxy cars. I've been very interested in Volvos and Saabs, especially in the past 6 months. Carsales & FB marketplace have been very limited recently, almost everyday I've been scrolling to see if there's anything worthwhile, but unfortunately most of the 850's are in pretty rough shape with high KMs.

I would love to purchase an 850, and to become a Volvo enthusiast. I am very open to all types of 850's: Sedans, Wagons, and yes I can drive manual or auto. An R would be awesome but not mandatory. I'm based in Sydney but I don't mind travelling if it's worth it. Thank you everyone.

It has been serviced. If it has been cared for. Checked, used, cleaned and loved.

What's your budget?

A nice R is going to go for good money I think. T5 is nearly as fast, and well appointed, but go cheaper.

If you don't need turbo, you might find a nice 850 CD/S/SE/GLT for cheap if you are patient.

My budget is around $10k, I’m a university student so I don’t make too much haha. T5 would be nice but I’m still happy with a base model 850 too.

The T5 is worth it. Turbo 5-cylinder, there's nothing like it. You can get it to match an R for performance without much modification too.

I think you should be able to find a T5 for under $10k, it may require some patience though.
