solved - Right side=drivers side?

I've got some steering parts that are marked right side and left side. How does that translate to right hand drive eg. driver side /passenger side.

Forget about driver side and passenger side

That’s an amateur way of speaking

Left and right

Near side = left

Off side = right

This way, there is no possibility of confusion coming from right hand drive, left hand drive, which way the sun is shining, the moon, and all other descriptions

It's a reference to the kerb.

Near side - to the kerb

Offside - to the kerb

Near side to the kerb in RHD is the left hand side.

So using offside & near side is exactly the same as using driver's side & passenger's side, but shorter words?

And the labels on those parts are just confusing no matter which way you cut it, because there's no actual convention ... however most likely they were labeled from the perspective of a person sitting in the car.

Forg that's how i will describe it also. Having just realised i have put the inner tie rod on the wrong side, lol. Just test fitted luckily. Cheers

Panelbeaters doing quotes love using terms like 'NSF' and 'OSR' instead of LHF and RSR.

(Although it's hard to find a true panelbeater any more, they're more like plasters and renderers).
