Key factors in the articles from way back when is that they're back-to-backing cams in the same engine rather than using a cam as a part of a holistic approach. Appropriately sized valves will make the difference here and really take advantage of it.
blondejay;52933 wroteGt6 cam is a kg trimming product. It's a re-manufacture (similar spec to the group A)
Not the actual group A cam of the 80's and is only a new offer from kg and Dvs.
Big cam for high rpm, would be awesome to hear it come on power with a nice hx35 or gt35r
@AshDVS that's how I understood it when you explained and sent the specs.
It's one of the original Group A camshaft. 'GRPA', 'T5' and 'GT6' were the common three, plus however many others that we're used without knowledge outside of the teams involved.
KG reproduce it.
It's a great cam with suitably sized valves and turbo. If you want a silky smooth idle and power from zero rpm, it isn't for you.
It's probably reasonable as an NA cam but there are better alternatives if you're building a real NA engine.
Same as yesterday though, lets move this out of Will's FS thread.
