I’m not yet convinced that the ignition coil is the source of your problem.
What is the story going back? There are several questions that I think are being missed and I also think that many descriptive details of the problem are being left out.
How did the car stop driving?
How long have you owned it? How many kilometres have you travelled in it?
What repair work have you done to it and when was the latest repair work carried out?
What other details can be provided?
You mentioned someone tested the coil, and deemed it to be not operational. This is not always the case I find. Incorrect diagnosis is too common in this field, especially with 30 year old European vehicles.
Majority of mechanics don’t want to bother spending the necessary time needed to investigate a problem, so it goes into the too hard basket. Onto the next job and call out fee. Next.
The more descriptive you can be talking in this forum, that helps when others cannot be there in person and only have your words to go on and try to help.
For example, is a spark being produced, maybe yes, maybe not.
Is there fuel pressure, yes/no
Fuel injectors pulsing?
You would ideally have someone familiar enough with Volvos (or vintage cars in general) to assist if one of us cannot get to you to try and isolate the problem and identify the cause ahead of time, rather than purchasing spare parts, guessing, wasting time and finances without knowing what you’re doing 100%.
