Hi guys, the engine warning light came on in the XC90, scan showed the air flow meter was playing up. I sprayed it with a can of special cleaner. This turned the light off for a couple of months. It's back. Worth cleaning again, or do I spring for a new one? Common fault? New Bosch unit $190 with free postage from automotive superstore at Castle hill.

martymoose what model/engine is your XC90?
2006, petrol 5 cylinder turbo
martymoose probably pcv. Check the hose going from breather box to the valve cover area for a split.
Spaghetti junction in there! I wiggled all the hoses, wiring to multiple solenoids, couldn't see a split hose. Lights gone out! I'll have another good look with the torch, see if it comes back. Thanks again.
