WANTED '89 240 wagon Diff and other parts

Hi everyone,

I've had my Volvo (Erik) for coming up to ten years now. It's my first car and I'd love to keep him running.

I'm having a lot of trouble finding parts.

I've been told i need a new diff,

To be completely honest i don't really know much about cars, but i love mine and i don't want to have to sell and move on.

I'm in the Newcastle area.

If you happen to know of people I can get in contact with to find parts I'd be so grateful!

The parts I am in need of are as follows:

Diff,

Driver side bonnet hinge,

And the parts i don't need, but would like are as follows:

Navy blue driver's seat

the internal plastic/vinyl panels for the sides in the boot in navy blue

Can you please post a picture of your passenger's seat? There's a few different types of blue upholstery - there's a plush type and a fabric type at least. (Pics can be uploaded by hitting the icon below with the up arrow, between the "preview" and "toggle rich text" buttons).

About the diff - is your car auto or manual? Knowing that will mean the correct diff ratio can be determined.

Hi Gabi,

Where are you located. I have a good 240 diff (out of a 1986 wagon, so has the speedo sensor on the diff housing), but I am based in Victoria.

The diff ratio of my one is 3.73 to 1.
