Oct 83 build 360GLT

I've found an Oct 83 prod, Jan 84 plated 360 glt at a wreckers south of Brisbane. It has 165k on the clock and is in ok condition except the front rh guard has been side swiped by their tray truck. Maybe it's done 1165k, but doesn't look like it. Just dirty. There's surface rust on the roof, but the rest of the body is ok and straight. They want $1800 which seems allot. Is it worth it? I'm not in a position to get it unfortunately.

I'd say rust is the main consideration on an early (pre 87/88) one of these. If it only has surface rust and is a decent runner with only the damage mentioned 1800 isn't unrealistic. They'll probably take less of course, what market is there for the parts? They'll be lucky to make half that back even with all the effort involved…. But then if the boss thinks 1800 is fair he might rather crush it than take a dollar less.
