GST on overseas parts

There is $1000 limited before GST is applied to an overseas parts order. Does that$ 1000 include freight.

It's not supposed to, but sometimes they get lazy and don't read the invoices, then do it anyway.

I got burned once on a Skandix order when Hockey brought in the Gerry Harvey Failed Business Model Protection Tax. Total was $1060 or something order with shipping. Since then I keep it under $1K including shipping, and do a couple of orders if one's going to be close to the limit.

Yep same here , been just over including postage and had to pay the damn charges. Not worth arguing, tried that 🤐
