2001 V70 Auto box question

I may be looking at this ride shortly, so I am wondering if 1) the fact that it has been running for 20+ years and well maintained (supposedly), then would the autobox issues of solenoid/valve body/etc. been fixed for good?

Or should I not waste my time and money. They are wanting 3-4k for this wagon, kms under 200,000. Oh and it is a T5.

The solenoid / valve body issues may or may not have been played around with. The critical factor here is 'has the transmission oil been changed'. If not that could be a real problem. There is a little yellow dipstick on the top of the transmission. Check the colour of the oil, if it is pitch black, probably never changed, I would then bae a bit worried. If the transmission works perfectly and the car meets your needs, then the first thing to do is an oil flush and reset of the transmission counter (needs to be done using VIDA).
