144 alternator rotation direction

I’m looking to replace the alternator on my rally 144 with something I can easily get parts for like on a rally, a Toyota. Can someone tell me which way it rotates looking from the front of the car?

I’m nowhere near any red lock Volvos or I’d go and look.

Virtually everything rotates clockwise when looking at the front of the engine.

I only know of some Hondas that rotate the opposite direction.

When my alternator (and the spare, dammit) died on P2P the other week, I was offered several alternators by other competitors. The mechanics said one was the wrong rotation: can’t remember if it was a Fairlane or an old Merc.
