egads (she/her) Hi all, Looking for some new tyres for the V70. Bighest tging i am looking for is quiet as the federals i have now have got quite loud with age. 225/50/17 and around 250 per corner would be ideal.
Vee_Que I like yokohama for lower noise. Michelin for grip and also Bridgestone. Mike loved his dunlop tyres though. Can't help with specifics atm though!
PaddlerEd We had Maxxis of some description in a 16" on the 850 we had; they were a good Australian tyre and were pretty good on the dirt as well; not too noisy in the time we had them. I'd also be inclined to have a look at Hankook's as well, both are well under the $200 a corner mark on ebay.
Spac No idea about noise/traction, but Federals can be had at very good prices through Racing Ready. Feel free to drop my name.
PaddlerEd I had a set of Dunlops for 20,000 miles or so, and hated them... give me the cheaper Firestones they replaced, much more confident in the rain and damp roads. After the last 2 sets of "premium" tyres I had on my V70 I've become very wary of that class; I found the budget options (still from the named brands though) were much better.
egads (she/her) The federals from racing ready have lasted really well and still handle great, they are just crazy loud.
CamZH my last set were Kumho KU31's cheaper than most of the others and were much better than what was previously on my 850 (some no name junk)

Ex850R ^ I suppose I am used to the re002s and the 001s before them , yes they wear on the v70 more than a hard tyre but they are so damn good! My first 850R had dunlop LM 703 and they were fantastic too for feel and confidence.
