Diagnostic device that can be used with Volvo's factory VIDA software for reading diagnostic codes, clearing codes, activations, resets etc. Software needs to be installed on a PC desktop or notebook.
Can be used in the same way as Volvo's DICE hardware.
Can also be used with VDASH software.
Suitable for many models, from around 2000 to 2014 or so. Depends on the model.
I bought it for my previous 2007 V50 and it was very useful. I have since bought an older 2002 V40 and unfortunately it does not work with that and I don't plan on buying any newer Volvo so no longer need this.
Includes device, USB cable, DVD and original box.
From my experience the Volvo VIDA software is sometimes hard to get going. This comes with a version of VIDA but I ended up using the Virtual Machine version that is available online.
