deNs - you may have been on the road when the dinner pre-order emails went out (I know I was, but then I was on the road from the 18th onwards…)
The trouble was how the venue served the meals, but didn't ask for payment when they did. I confess; I was one person who screwed up there. So poor James got hit with an unexpected meal tab after the event.
So thank you to James for covering me (us) - and I hope others who shared my mistake have also sorted it out; there's no such thing as a free dinner.
