NathL Hi, Was looking at purchasing V50 T5 and during inspection noted that when the car was revved there were some bubbles and foaming occurring in the coolant reservoir. Does this indicate a just a head gasket issue or a bigger issue? Oil wasn't milky and didn't notice excessive steam from exhaust. Anyone experienced this? Thanks in advance for any advice.
ramrod Blown head gasket is up there with the worst of the worst engine problems Get a quote to replace it just for future reference
Ex850R Can still be the H/G or the radiator internal busted. Just find a good one with a service history. replacing motor is NOT cheap and not many will fix a head gasket ….
NathL Has a decent service history but unfortunately nothing in the service reports about the coolant bubbling & foaming. Shame as it has relatively low kms for age and good service records.
