They wont break just doing that little amount of movement.
I even got two 12" shifters on one when i was frustrated , no joy as they slip off , Vice Grips may be better!
Leave the car alone if she thinks she knows better , i know this is hard and my daughters dont like me interfering either so , let them figure life out for themselves aybe…………..major lessons , its fkg hard to do I KNOW!
