I have my 1999 V70XC up for sale. I have owned it for close to two years, with it serving as my secondary daily driver. It has been extremely versatile and served me well moving home recently. It is a safe car even by modern standards, featuring 4 airbags, SIPS, WHIPS, ABS and Stability Control.
I purchased this car unregistered and got it through a RWC. Since owning it it has got a minor service including oil and cabin filters., new plugs and coils, I sourced the correct eggcrate grille for it, Gibbons flush done on the auto, replaced a faulty door lock, sourced and fitted a factory headunit to replace an aftermarket one, plus more.
It features the 5 cylinder 2.4L whiteblock motor with a low pressure turbo, and a 4 speed AW50-42 automatic transmission. To the best of my knowledge, the running gear is all original. Car has 25XXXX kms and will slowly increase as this is one of my daily drivers.. These cars are capable of exceeding 500,000kms if looked after

-full size spare tyre +5 seat conversion (3rd row seats, child seat fixing point and space saver spare (with bad tyre) will be included )
-5 new 205/55/R16 tyres fitted in 2023
-OEM towbar fitted
-PCV replacement done 2022
-good used radiator supplied and fitted by BMG 2023
-new front pads and rotors fitted late 2023
-Books and some service history included with car
-Aircon gets cold in summer
-front right lower engine mount replaced dec 2023
-MP3 player kit fitted to car, works with stock radio and maintains stock look of interior, spare radio will come with car, but has no code.

NOT SO GOOD
-AWD not functional, angle gear faulty and removed from car, will supply it with sale, plus a good condition angle gear from a 1997 V70R. Also will include spare diff+torque tube, rear driveshafts and propshaft which was reconditioned in 2022
-cosmetic condition fair (expected for age of the car), decent scratch rear right quarter and door. Significant dent on left rear door.
-bonnet has a very rough repaint, still an improvement over the massively flaking clear it had previously.
-front bumper a little bent along bottom, missing paint and clear peeling
-Minor wear on front seats and armrest
-ETS light comes on intermittently, will supply spare used ETM
-Some interior trims worn or damaged, typical for P80 cars.
-Steering wheel leather has significant delamination, but will include wheel cover with sale.
-One wheel centre cap has gone missing
-Front struts may need refreshing
That said, this car would make a good daily driver after some minor work is carried out, and, with it being soon eligible for club registration in VIC, would be a versatile 2nd car/weekender project for a Volvo enthusiast. Use it how a wagon is meant to be used, or get it flash tuned to give T5 performance, or both.
