850R's, V/S70R's AND T5's Alike

There seems to be a few VERY clean 850R's a V70R and a few tidy T's of the same models out there asking decent money and seem to be sitting, not moving at the 20-30k mark. Is that a sign of the hype for these models have overcome what people would actually pay for these? Why hasn't enthusiasts jumped and the fact they're even available?

I see the super clean low Km examples are from the same guy who's imported from Japan. I doubt ever complied in Aus, is that the real issue? Hard to do?

The Japan ones can be dodgy, the site that sells them says there’s fake reports in that site.

The one you buy here that’s Japan import, at least one sent back to seller as misrepresented and one bought by my mate SERIOUSLY misrepresented with engine bay fire….

They are not in any way a race car or boy racer ever unless it IS a race car but lots would beat it including an S40 race car

If it’s 20-30,000 it’s way overpriced…..

It’s interesting to own a P80 for its “rawness” but more bang for buck and cheaper too is the S/V60T6 and more comfort and speed the V70T6 and S80T6.

Ex850R Yeah, you mentioned in my other thread! I did investigate but I think I'm just too un-decided, so probably a good thing I don't commit to something yet. I mean, I was looking at 240's just before!

We're definitely not in a position to spend 20-30k on an 'old' car as our second 'runaround' car. From looking over the past year, I've seen these for sale and they've been sitting for a while. Wanted to hear from long time enthusiasts/owners why you aren't jumping at them! Makes sense they could be dodgy. The one guys seems to have a few for sale/sold over a period of time which is a little red flaggy.

I've recently accepted a deposit on my 240GL Wagon I've owned for 8 years and plan to collect a Cream Yellow T-5R in early July for the price point mentioned above. It's obv a Japanese import but I've heard good things about this particular import from a mechanic & T-5R owner who specialises in this model so here's hoping it's good upon viewing.

So I guess I'm an enthusiast who has jumped on this, I had 3 yellow T-5R cream yellow wagons to choose from in under 2 weeks so hopefully I've selected the best one.

Apparently a manual cream yellow T-5R wagon sold for 45k not too long ago in NSW.

$25-30k is way to much asking price for 850Rs, maybe a mint gull manual t5r wagon because of the unique factor could fetch higher numbers but not a normal. And everyone here knows you be spending big on parts with any 850 anyways.

2016 I paid $2,800 for black 850R auto wagon, original un modified and complete. I think more like 6-10 is reasonable these days. Seems since 1 popped up at a crazy price on car sales, people have been importing from japan and asking for those same crazy prices trying to make an easy profit.
