Original, old time brass copper 240 740 radiator

Solid construction, thicker core than plastic aluminium

Does not have a hole for AC switch

I paid $220 a week ago at a radiator shop for a service and pressure test

Asking $450

Pick up from Castle Hill NSW

ramrod changed the title to 240 740 copper radiator .

Hej Man, without the A/C switch in the unit what can be done outside of the radiator if I used in the 240 with the upgraded aircon compressor installed?

I know nothing about this stuff, could a suitable and reliable solution be put in for switch?

My retired Greek mechanic is brilliant with ad hoc on cars (as good old mechanics are ) and he likes the interesting problem solving so if we can give him a direction he along with his mechanic son and the local A/C guy that comes to his place could get it going for me. Thanks, Les

Wire up a simple relay to switch on the auxiliary fan whenever the compressor is engaged

Hello Ramrod, how thick is the core please? Do you think the extra thickness would be equivalent in cooling capacity to the larger size of a 760 V6 radiator (core size 590x509x32)? Thank you.
