Hi all just after people's experiences with car covers what's good and what's not.

I have recently moved house and no longer have the luxury of a full undercover car port and now my car is out side qnd I would like a good car cover to suit to keep the sun off and also for winter months.

1997 V70 T5 is the car. Thanks for any input.

Thank Dewolf I will have a look into them.

Has any one else had good success with other generic car covers?

If your going to spend money on any sort of car cover, there's a couple of things to take into account.
Spend a bit extra and buy a qaulity hail car cover , they are a bit more bulky in size but do fold and roll up into a sleeping bag size bag. It will save you alot of grief when you get caught out with storms.
A cover that is UV rated.
A cover that has air vents at the top , roof level to allow hot air out and ventilation to stop condensation , paint is actually porous ( small balls of chemical that form a seal of cars body shell) and not dead flat as most believe.

Do you 242GT have any recommendations for a good car cover? I don't mind spending some money on a good one.

Both Repco and Supercheap have good ones around the $179-185 mark that have the wet siute material and vents at roof level.
I havnt checked ebay.
The Repco silver with orange fluorescent pipping is good a neighbour uses that one , mines same as Supercheaps

Cool thanks for that i will go do some checks. I didn't think of super cheap as I try to avoid that place normally.

If in driveway then Supercheap and online cheap stores like Vevor have the carport type of steel frame and cover. Not expensive. Wind may be an issue.
